Innovation and experimentation

Mitsuhiro Matsuda founded his fashion house in the late 1960s. It was very revolutionary because it fused architecture and fashion.

By the 1980s, he was already well known around the world. Not only for his pret-a-porter creations, but also for his eyewear and for his campaigns in collaboration with renowned artists such as Jan Saudek, Nan Goldin, Juergen Teller and Bruce Weber.

He is still known today as an innovator and experimenter in fashion and art.

His way of creating also combines the latest technology with the Japanese tradition of craftsmanship.

The result is that every composition is a piece of art.

Matsuda equals Craftsmanship

Each frame or sunglass can take 2 years to leave their artisan workshops in Sabae, Japan. The process requires many steps and time.

Exceptional materials

He uses Titanium, Stainless Steel, Silver and Gold.

He also uses Japanese Acetate.

The final product is a lifetime eyewear.

Perfect finishing

Every little detail in the frames is studied and worked very meticulously. Down to the last screw. It is designed exclusively for each product line.

Before finishing, an exhaustive quality control is carried out.

The lenses are also taken into account, resistant and with an unbeatable optical quality. In addition to UVA and UVB filter, which protects from 100% of these radiations, they have anti-reflective treatment for clear vision.
